Emergency Aid & Relief

When families face crisis -- whether from job loss, illness, domestic violence, or natural disaster -- immediate support can make the difference between hope and despair. Our Emergency Aid program provides rapid, practical assistance to individuals and families in urgent need.

What we provide:

  • Weekly food parcels containing fresh produce, pantry staples, and culturally appropriate items
  • Emergency household supplies including toiletries, nappies, cleaning products, and clothing
  • Emergency financial assistance for urgent bills such as utilities, medical expenses, and transport
  • Referral services connecting families to additional government and community support

Impact: We distribute food parcels to over 500 families each week and have provided more than 120,000 meals in our most recent reporting year.

Program 02

Education & Mentoring

Education is the foundation of opportunity. Our Education and Mentoring program gives children, young people, and adults the support they need to develop skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals.

Program components:

  • After-school tutoring in literacy, numeracy, and STEM subjects for primary and secondary students
  • One-on-one mentoring that matches experienced volunteers with young people for ongoing guidance
  • Adult literacy and digital skills workshops to help parents and job seekers build capability
  • School readiness programs supporting children in their transition to formal education
  • Scholarship assistance and access to educational resources, books, and technology

Impact: More than 350 students participated in our tutoring and mentoring programs last year, with 87% showing measurable improvement in their academic performance.

Program 03

Wellness & Community Support

Social isolation and poor mental health are growing challenges in Australian communities. Our Wellness program creates safe, supportive spaces where individuals can connect, heal, and build resilience.

Services include:

  • Facilitated support groups for people experiencing grief, anxiety, loneliness, or life transitions
  • Wellbeing workshops covering stress management, mindfulness, nutrition, and physical health
  • Financial literacy sessions teaching budgeting, debt management, and planning skills
  • Parenting support groups providing practical advice and a community of peers
  • Community connection events including shared meals, social outings, and cultural celebrations

Impact: Over 1,200 individuals attended our wellness workshops and support groups, with 92% reporting improved wellbeing and stronger community connections.

Program 04

Housing Assistance

A safe, stable home is fundamental to every other aspect of life. Our Housing Assistance program helps families transitioning out of homelessness or escaping domestic violence to establish a comfortable and secure home environment.

Support provided:

  • Provision of essential furniture including beds, tables, chairs, and storage
  • Household starter packs with kitchenware, bedding, towels, and cleaning supplies
  • Practical settlement support helping families navigate utilities, local services, and school enrolment
  • Coordination with housing providers, social workers, and government agencies
  • Follow-up support to ensure families are settling in and have access to ongoing assistance

Impact: More than 200 families were supported through our housing assistance program, turning empty spaces into warm, functional homes.
